Vaser Liposuction

Vaser Liposuction

Vaser Liposuction is very different from any other fat-reducing surgery for a few reasons. It is a type of cosmetic ultrasound liposuction. It has already been performed on thousands of men and women and has been proven effective.

This successful process has been seen used on almost any part of the body, including hips, chest, ankles, breasts, and thighs. Some other popular removals occur in the arms, knees, stomach, chin, neck, back, and butt. This surgery is suitable for people with all different body types. Many people may have fat deposits in the same areas, but everyone is unique to the extent of which it occurs. The ultrasonic energy that is used forces out any unwanted fat, whether it be a complete transformation of the body, or just small changes that couldn’t be done with just a diet.

The Vaser Liposuction is done through the use of that ultrasonic energy. This forces fat to break apart so it is easier to have removed. The ultrasonic waves come out of the tip of the suction wand causing it to become liquid-like. Because the fat is already broken down into small parts, the doctor will have no trouble getting it all out. There will also be very little to no pain whatsoever, making Vaser Liposuction an extremely safe and effective way to remove unwanted bulky areas.

Contrary to using ultrasonic energy, tumescent liposuction using anesthesia. This is a very common type of liposuction that causes the fat to actually get thicker so it is easier to see and get rid of. It is effective but can cause discomfort to most people. It also has a fairly long recovery time starting with a week and going to as high as a few months to be active again. Vaser Liposuction ends with very little pain for the client and most people only need a two or two to recover. Although they may feel fine right after surgery, it is good to rest for a few days to make sure there are no complications.

There are only a few risks, including blood clots that can make their way up to the major organs and cause illness. Fluid loss can cause burns and low blood pressure, but major complications are extremely rare.

Overall, Vaser Liposuction may not be common, but it is easily the safest and most effective way to reduce fat in the body.

Smart Lipo

Smart Liposuction

Smart liposuction is a method of liposuction that uses lasers to melt the fat cells, making it easier for them to be sucked out. It will also tighten up the skin and surrounding tissue to virtually eliminate the amount of loose skin that is typically seen in patients after traditional liposuction has been performed.

When Smart liposuction is done, the cannula is smaller than it is for a traditional liposuction and easier to manipulate in small areas such as the face, chin and neck. SmartLipo can be performed in the same areas as traditional liposuction; however it’s typically used in the smaller areas, such as the chin, where more precise sculpting is desired. Your plastic surgeon may choose to use traditional liposuction in larger areas; this will be a topic for the two of you.

Although traditional liposuction has been around for years and developed into a safe, effective procedure, there are many benefits in using SmartLipo instead. With SmartLipo, there is no general anesthesia; just local anesthesia, usually in the form of a shot, in the area where the work is to be performed. The incisions are considerably smaller since the cannula is smaller, making the procedure much less evasive then the traditional liposuction. Bleeding, bruising and swelling are typically kept to a minimum with SmartLipo because with the laser, the blood vessels are also cauterized as the procedure is being done. Compared to traditional liposuction, there is less pain as the anesthetic wears off. This is because with SmartLipo, the laser melts the fat cells and with traditional lipo, the surgeon is using the cannula to break up the fat cells. This less invasive procedure cuts the recovery time down to as little as 1 – 2 days before the patient can return to work and/or resume their normal activities.

In general, SmartLipo can be used on anyone that is in overall generally good health and has one or more problem area in their body that hasn’t responded favorably to diet or exercise. If you’re considering a SmartLipo procedure, you should also discuss the possible outcome with your doctor to ensure that you have a realistic expectation of the procedure and in what way it will be beneficial to you. Some of the side effects that you may want to discuss with your doctor will include possible swelling or bleeding at the site and the risk of infection.
