The difference is the training they have undertaken, a Plastic Surgeon has successfully completed specialist training in Plastic Surgery, and can then go on to specialise in a main area such as Orthopaedic Surgery or carry out cosmetic or aesthetic surgery, .
On the other hand a Cosmetic Surgeon may not have undergone training but still performs Cosmetic Surgery, for this reason it is important to be careful when choosing your surgeon.
